Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 4 Delhi cantt. is situated in South-west Delhi close to the Ring Road.It is one of the institutes run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Ministry Of Human Resource Development.
Opening of the KV :
The vidyalaya has been growing since its inception in 1994 and
today it has staff strength of 42 employees including the
Principal and headmistress; and around 1000 students. The Growth
having started with 300 students and 5 teachers, presently the
Vidyalaya has 1000 students on its roll and 43 staff members. It
has classes from I to XII with two streams of courses at +2
level (Science & Commerce). Humanities Stream is discontinued in
the session 2007-08.

2. "Informatics Practices" has been given as an optional
subject for class XI for Science Stream students also.
Highest Class: It
has two sections from classes I to X and
Science and Commerce Stream at +2 level.
The School is located in Defence Sector (behind Rajputana Rifles
Regimental Center), near Cariappa Vihar and next to
SQAE(Armament) office, New Delhi , amongst natural surroundings
full of greenery providing an atmosphere conductive to learning
Mission Of KV :
1. To
cater to the educational needs of children of transferable
Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel
by providing a common programme of education ;
2. To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school
education
3. To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in
education in collaboration with other bodies like the Central
Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the National Concil of
Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc. and
4. To develop the spirit of national integration and create a
sense of "Indianness" among children.
