The Genesis of the KV :
On demand of Army Head Quarter for education of
their wards the Kendriya Vidyalaya No 4 Delhi Cantt was established
in the year 1994 in Army Barracks (Tempory Building) under the able
guidance of the founder Principal Sh. R.K.Gautam.
Important Milestone of growth
:
a) 1994 - School started in temporary building in 10
Acres of land
b) 2001-02 - First batch of Secondary (Class X)
presented for CBSE
Secondary Examination
c) 2002-03 - 10+2 System started with Humanities
Stream
d) 2007-08 - Science Stream was started in
Vidyalaya and Science Labs were set up.
Gradual Year wise Expansion :

Delhi Cantt. started functioning initially the school was only upto class VII

2000-01 - First batch of class X appeared in AISCE
conducted by CBSE

2001-02 - The School was extended from Secondary
level to Senior Secondary Level

2002-03 - First batch of class XII appeared in
AISSCE conducted by CBSE
GAMES & SPORTS Facilities in Vidyalaya
The School has a large playground with a big football, a Basketball
and a Volleyball Court. Special instructors are engaged to develop
sports-skills among the students. Students are engaged in the

• Shooting
• Boxing
